The International Buddhist College (IBC) celebrated the 67th birthday anniversary of His Majesty the King Maha Vajiralongkorn (Rama X) of Thailand - who is lovingly and highly honored by all Thais. IBC celebrated this special day together with Professors, Lecturers, Venerables, Staff, Guests and Students.

The auspicious occasion began with the offering of lights to the Buddha by Ajahn Narong and group chanting was led by Bhante Anandajoti. Chanting from various Buddhist traditions was performed in Pali, Chinese and Tibetan by everyone.

Professor Tilak Kariyawasam along with Ms. Redeeduan and Mr. Jaroon Chaibao offered the flowers to His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn. Ven. Satyajit spoke on the importance of the roles of the King Maha Vajiralongkorn in Thailand and led the merit-transference chanting wishing wellbeing for the King and all sentient beings.

Our sincere thanks to all the participants and the organizing committee members for their various contributions and mutual support to make the King’s birthday celebration a great success.

Long live the King!
