Life at International Buddhist College is really extraordinary! As a student we can experience and gain much knowledge. In college it is necessary to study hard in order to get good grades. In addition, we need to be totally engaged in community work. Community work is the best endeavour for our experiences in daily life. The definition of life is a living being or an organism. But life includes plants too!

Our college has an organic garden. It is very pristine and naturally beautiful. Within the garden there are many different kinds of plants, flowers, and fruits like banana, mango and papaya. Some plots are specifically for growing vegetables; the others specialize in various beans and many fragrant flowers.

By doing community work we are able to advance and sustain our good conduct. We learn cooperation and respect for each other. It is a teamwork job which is a good opportunity for us to achieve our work together. Our college garden is quite extensive, containing an area of plantings in front of our dormitory that is maintained by one of our teachers. There is an additional vegetable plot planted and cared for by our Vietnamese students. It bestows great beauty onto the environment! The benefits of having a beautiful garden are many, such as allowing us to get more fresh air. Our bodies are more vigorous and we will not easily become sick. Everyone gains from our college grown vegetables and fruits providing us with delicious healthy meals.

International Buddhist College is a wonderful supportive community for us to complete our studies and establish good friendships. Everything that we learn can be applied to our daily life experiences. Organic vegetables and fruits from our college garden support our good health and good nutrition. This is how we learn to live a vital life.
