Dynamic Meditation on Mindfulness Practice

Thailand Father’s Day December 5th, was the date of the anniversary of King Bhumibol Adulyadej, Rama IX, (its dynastic name), born in 1927, who died on 13th October 2016 at the age of 88 years old.
This day December 5, remains to us as an important public holiday in Remembrance of King Bhumibol, and is now known as King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s Birthday Anniversary.
The Ministry of Interior has invited people of the whole nation to join various activities to celebrate National Father’s Day in remembrance of the benevolence His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great (Rama IX) and to show gratitude to the institution of the monarchy.
In IBC, meditation master Phra Sompon Chandhadhammo from Suan Dhammasakol Meditation Center, Hat-Yai, Thailand was invited to lead the retreat and Dhamma talk. The practice took place under the Bodhi tree near the pond of IBC. The sitting and walking meditation were demonstrated. The key method for the practice is to remain for developing the awareness of movement (Mahasati).
The practice started from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm, there was question and answer session too. The event was beneficial and meaningful. At the end of the event, coconut juice was served to the participants.
