Prof. Dr. Charles Willemen studied Latin, Greek, Chinese, Japanese and Sanskrit. He obtained his Ph.D. in the field of East-Asian Studies (University of Gent, Belgium). He was assistant, guest professor and professor at different universities in Belgium, China, Canada, Japan and Thailand. Currently he is rector and teaching professor at the International Buddhist College.
Early Buddhism, Indian Buddhism
Prof. Kapila Abhayawansa specialised in Pāli, Sanskrit, Sinhala, Buddhist Philosophy, Buddhist Vinaya, Western and Indian Philosophy. He obtained a Master of Philosophy (Banaras Hidu university, India) and a Doctor of Philosophy (University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka). He was a lecturer and head of the department of Buddhist Culture at the Postgraduate Institute of Pāli and Buddhist Studies at the University of Kelaniya. In addition, he was a visiting lecturer at various universities in Sri Lanka and abroad. Prof. Kapila has published more than fifteen academic books and more than a hundred academic articles. Currently, he is the Dean of the Faculty of Religious Studies and regular professor at the International Buddhist College.
Tibetan Buddhism, Tibetan, Sanskrit
Dr. Lozang Jamspal received an Acharya degree in Sanskrit, Hindi, and Buddhist and Indian philosophy at Sanskrit University, Benares. At the university, he served as a librarian and Tibetan language instructor, and helped to establish the Central Institute of Tibetan Studies where he later worked as lecturer. He also worked as a lecturer of Sanskrit and classical Tibetan language at the University of Delhi. After moving to the U.S. in 1974, he taught at the Bslab gsum bshad grub gling in New Jersey. In 1991, he earned his Ph.D. from Columbia University, where he taught classical Tibetan. Currently he is a regular professor at the International Buddhist College.
Therāvāda Buddhism
Prof. Dr. Tilak Kariyawasam studied Pāli and Buddhist Philosophy. He obtained his Ph.D. in the field of Buddhist Philosophy (University Lancaster, UK). He was a director of the Postgraduate Institute of Pali and Buddhist Studies at the University of Kelaniya in Sri Lanka. Currently, he is the Dean of IBC Buddhist Studies Graduate School and regular professor at the college.

Prof. Dr. Toshiichi Endo studied Pāli and Buddhist Philosophy. He obtained his Ph.D. in the field of Buddhist Studies (University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka). He published several books and academic articles related to the Pāli Literature. Currently, he is a professor at the University of Kelaniya and visiting professor at the University of Hong Kong and the International Buddhist College.

Prof. Dr. Y. Karunadasa studied Pāli and Buddhist Philosophy. He obtained his Ph.D. in the field of Buddhist Studies (University of London, UK). In more than 50 years of his engagement in the field of Buddhist thought, he has held a broad range of positions. He was a lecturer at many universities and wrote countless articles and books. Currently, he is a visiting professor at the University of Hong Kong and the International Buddhist College.
