Free Medical Service - Metta Clinic

( IBC June 21, 2008 ) Led by long-term IBC volunteer Dr. Wu Guo Qiang, the Than Hsiang Temple Metta Clinic was opened to the public today. They treated patients at IBC to a free medical service. The activity attracted about 60 nearby residents to receive medical treatment.

All medical staff and volunteers departed from Penang in the very early morning to "deliver" their dharma and love, passing two custom checkpoints before arriving at IBC. There are no national boundaries for community service, regardless of race or class, which is an example of the Buddha's compassionate love.

At the same time, there were about 30 members of the Kedah Teachers Association of Malaysia, who also visited IBC on the weekend. Besides having an academic briefing and an exchange of work experience, they also showed their support to the above activity which became more exciting.
