IBC Education Center Offers Scholarship to Primary and High School Students in Pak Thong Chai District

In the presence of Most Venerable Wei Wu, government officials, dignitaries and their teachers and parents on the 16 May, the Klintiendharm Foundation and the International Buddhist College Education Center offered Sponsorships. These grants (available in cash and stationary) will assist twenty five students of seven primary and high schools of Pak Thong Chai.

The program, which marks the beginning of this annual project initiated by Ven. Wei Wu offering lights and incenses to the Triple Gem and followed by a chanting led by the IBC Sangha.

Ven. Zhen Chan, the Director of the Student Affairs of IBC, presented a lengthy report on past, present and future activities of IBC and Klintiendharm on Education and Social Welfare services such as Metta Free Clinic, Weekend School, Summer camp for school children, various Educational funds. Assistance was given to flood disaster victims in Pak Thong Chai region. Rice, Clean Water and Funds were distributed by the IBC Sangha.

A training program was set up for Kawaii Kindergarten, and he discussed the development program for the future and reviewed the past history. Venerable also reminded us four objectives of Than Hsiang foundation (Klintiendharm);

  1. the young to learn,
  2. the strong and healthy to serve,
  3. the aged to be cared for, and
  4. the departed to find spiritual destination.

Finally, he concluded that a mutual collaboration was required from all the participants to work hand in hand to ensure a lifelong holistic education and community service for a global community.

Then Sangha gave a blessing, chanting, wishing longevity, beauty, happiness and strength for the audience and for all those numerous supporters who are helping us directly and indirectly to travel on the noble path and to accomplish for the good of many.
