IBC has been invited to be an Academic Service Advisor for the Kindergarten and Primary School of Banditnoi 2 School in Pak Thong Chai.
The main aim of inviting IBC to be the project advisor is to improve the development of a good Chinese teaching method and to adapt the great value of virtue through learning the Chinese Dharma Poem 《弟子规》 (Ti Zhi Gui: Fundamental Dharma Discipline for Children to cultivate and improve their intelligence and virtue). The whole teaching-learning session has to be arranged and implemented within 15 weeks (June 13 – September 20, 2013). IBC faculty members and students from the Chinese program will assist this academic project. The participants (students of the school) will be assessed on September 20 by sitting for a written examination and an oral test. A closing ceremony, as well as an award presentation will be held at the end of project.
The School also invited Ven. Zhen Chan to initiate the opening ceremony of the new ASEAN Language Library of the School. This Opening Ceremony took place on June 13, 2013 (Thursday) at Banditnoi 2 School with the presence of Ven. Zhen Chan, the Director for Administrative Affairs of IBC, and Ms. Baiyok Jongpadklang, the Director of Banditnoi 2 School. 20 teachers and 300 students participated at the opening ceremony. In the ceremony, Ven. Zhen Chan congratulated the Banditnoi 2 School of Pakthongchai for the establishment of the ASEAN Language Library.
This is a brilliant initiative taken by the School for preparing its students to face the more challenging open community of the coming days of the new millennium. He highlighted that to build a good and firm foundation for being an excellent citizen of the world, the seeds should be planted at the very elementary level of our education system. In Chinese saying: “ 万丈高楼从地起”. Ven. Zhen Chan has also taken the opportunity to express his appreciation and best wishes to the management team of the School for their good vision and mission in this life long teaching and learning endeavor. IBC will always appreciate and cherish this opportunity of working together for the good of the many.
