M.B.S.A. Maha Sanghikadana

( IBC June 16, 2008 ) Yesterday, an event was hosted by the Malaysia Buddhist Sangha Association (MBSA).The Maha Sanghikadana activity was held in Than Hsiang Temple.

A group of lay people and the resident monks and nuns of Than Hsiang Temple came from IBC to offer their help. Workers and students were also invited to participate in the event. This event was also provided as a training opportunity for employees and students to learn how to organize a large-scale celebration and to do planning for the organizations.

In addition to the purpose of training, IBC also set up an information counter to report recent happenings to the public; including activities, newsletters, and courses.

The funds raised in the assembly are used to support Sangha education and to train monks and nuns. This year, all the money will go to support the Malaysia Buddhist College and International Buddhist College.
