Help Thailand flood: Message from Ven. Wei Wu, IBC Council Chairman

Dear Friends,

You are probably aware that Thailand is facing the most serious flood in 50 years. Fortunately, both campuses of IBC are not affected. However, because of last year's experience, our staff and students moved some of our books in the library to the upper floor. Actually, the flood in Korat last year had to do with the management of the dam.

Our students are having their final examinations for the semester which will officially end on Nov 13.

We are arranging for our students and staff to go to the badly affected areas during their semester break near Bangkok to help the flood victims personally, this is the most effective way to help. If we go through some agencies, only part of the donation may be received by the real victims. We have started to do the initial contacts to participate in this relief work. This will again be a good educational experience for our students.

Last year, many Malaysians and foreign friends helped us raise the relief fund. Please contact me or Ling Yueh if you are able to help.
