Invitation to a sharing session by an American, Susanne Fairclough
IBC will hold a sharing session by Susanne Fairclough on 6/10/15 (Tuesday) at Dana Classroom from 4.45pm to 6pm. All professors, lecturers, staff and IBC students are cordially invited to join the session.
Susanne Fairclough is an American Buddhist educator and practitioner of long-standing. After working as an editor and a writer for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Magazine, she studied Tibetan Buddhism for over 30 years.
In Sakya tradition, she studied under Deshung Rinpoche, Sakya Trizin and others for 12 years. Thereafter, she studied other lineages especially Nyingma particularly with Chagdud Rinpoche. Living at Chagdud Gonpa - centre in Northern California for 12 years, she worked on translation of "Seven Treasuries of Longchenpa" for Padma Publishing. She also translated "37 Practices of A Bodhisattva" by Ngulchu Tokmey as well as co-translated "Buddhahood Without Meditation" by Dudjom Lingpa.
Susanne Fairclough has done one year retreat and other retreats as well.
