Last Respects to Dr. Anan Thipayarat

Dear Respected All IBC Members,

Good morning. I am sorry to inform you that Dr. Anan Thipayarat, the Chairman of our Internal Quality Assurance (IQA), passed away on December 28, 2023. We got a message from Ajahn Prapas Panjiang of Hatyai University as follows:
"Sad news to fellow IBC members / Dr. Anan Thipayarat passed away on December 28, 2023. Funeral services were held at Noppawongsaram Temple, Pattani Province. The body was poured on January 2, 2024, and cremated on January 6. 2024."

Below are some of the messages shared by our IBC members to Ajahn Anan and his family members:

Ven. Wei Wu: "Sorry to hear this. We will transfer merits for his good rebirth."

Ven. Dipananda: "Oh my Buddha! Very sad to hear the demise news! We pray to the Triple Gem and transfer the merit for his ultimate bliss. May he be happy wherever he stays."

Ven. Zhen Yuan: "Sorry to hear this sad news. May Ajahn Anan rest in peace and have a good rebirth. Deepest condolences to Ajahn Anan and his family."

Ven. Zhen Ti: "May Ajahn take a good rebirth and the blessings of the Triple Gem be with him always! We will transfer merits to him after evening chanting."

Prof. Kapila: "I was so saddened to hear the passing away of Dr Anan Thipayarat. It is really sad news to all of us in IBC. He has shown a great interest in the promotion of academic activities of IBC. May he attain a blissful state of existence."

Prof. Tilak Kariyawasam: "Sorry to hear that Ajahn Anan Passed Away. I am deeply saddened, I had an association with him for a few years as he was the Chairman of the IBC IQA meeting. May he attain the bliss of Nibbana."

Prof. Mattia: "Very sad news. Condolences to Ajahn Anan's family and friends."

Mr. Chew: "May Ajahn Anan rest in peace and have a good rebirth. Deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to Dr. Anan and his family."

On 4 December 2024 (Thursday), on behalf of IBC, a few of us went to pay our last respects to Ajahn Anan, accompanied by Ajahn Prapas. We also sent all our IBC members' regards to Ajahn's family members.
