IBC Celebrates Asalha Puja Day - 2025

July 10, 2025, was a significant day for Buddhists as it commemorates the anniversary of the Buddha's first sermon delivered to his five initial disciples. In this sermon, the Buddha taught the Four Noble Truths and the Noble Eightfold Path. At IBC, we honor this important occasion by paying homage to the Buddha and reciting the Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta, a central part of the celebration.

Ven. Dīpānanda, the Librarian and Warden of Male Students at IBC, led the events and shared the significance of the Sacred Asalha Full Moon Day with the participants. After the sharing session, we received Dāna from IBC in honor of the three-month Rain Retreat and dedicated the merits to our donors and all sentient beings.

Before concluding the program, Ven. Dīpānanda expressed gratitude to Ven. Dr. Wei Wu, the Founder and Council Chairman of IBC, for inviting the IBC monastic members. He also thanked Ven. Zhen Sheng, the Director of the Rector's Office and Superintendent of IBC, for his guidance and efforts in ensuring that the program was organized smoothly.
