Academic Scholarship

B.A. Program

Annual Full Time Tuition and Fees:
A total of 148,000 THB - tuition fees (83,000 THB), hostel fees (44,000 THB), international fees (20,000 THB) and student club fees (1,000 THB).

New students who are successful in their application for financial assistance will receive a Bursary amounting to 138,000 THB. They are required to pay the remaining fees of 10,000 THB.

For the second, third and final year, the scholarship offered will be based on the previous academic year's combined GPA of Academic and Conduct grades:
1) Those with a combined GPA of 3.81 and above will be granted Scholarship ‘A’. After paying all the fees amounting to 148,000 THB, an additional 12,000 THB will be remitted as living allowances at 1,500 BHT per month over a period of 8 months during the regular semesters as long as the student maintains the Conduct and Academic performance.
2) Those with a combined GPA of 3.51 and above will be granted Scholarship ‘B’. After paying all the fees amounting to 148,000 THB, an additional 4,000 THB will be remitted as living allowances of 500 BHT per month over a period of 8 months during the regular semesters as long as the student maintains the Conduct and Academic performance.
3) Those with a combined GPA of 2.76 and above will be granted Scholarship ‘C’ amounting to 138,000 THB. They only have to pay the remaining fees amounting to 10,000 THB.
4) Those with a combined GPA below 2.76 will be granted Scholarship ‘D’ amounting to 128,000 THB. They only have to pay the remaining fees amounting to 20,000 THB.

M.A. Program
Annual Full-Time Tuition and Fees:
A total of 174,500 THB - tuition fees (109,500 THB), hostel fees (44,000 THB), international fees (20,000 THB) and student club fees (1,000 THB).
New students who are successful in their application for financial assistance will receive a Bursary amounting to 107,500 THB. They are required to pay the remaining fees of 67,000 THB.

For the final year, the scholarship offered will be based on the previous academic year combined GPA of Academic grades:
1) Those with a combined GPA of 3.91 and above will be granted Scholarship ‘A’. After paying all the fees amounting to 174,500 THB, an additional 12,000 THB will be remitted as living allowances at 1,500 BHT per month over 8 months during the regular semesters as long as the student maintains the Conduct and Academic performance.
2) Those with a combined GPA of 3.61 and above will be granted Scholarship ‘B’. After paying all the fees amounting to 174,500 THB, an additional 4,000 THB will be remitted as living allowances of 500 THB per month over 8 months during the regular semesters as long as the student maintains the Conduct and Academic performance.
3) Those with a combined GPA of 3.01 and above will be granted Scholarship ‘C’ amounting to 107,500 THB. They only have to pay the remaining fees amounting to 67,000 THB.
4) Those with a combined GPA below 3.01 will be granted Scholarship ‘D’ amounting to 85,500 THB. They only have to pay the remaining fees amounting to 89,000 THB.

Ph.D. Program
Annual Full-Time Tuition and Fees:
A total of fees 232,800 THB - tuition fees (145,800 THB), hostel fees (66,000 THB), international fees (20,000 THB), and student club fees (1,000 THB).

New students who are successful in their application for financial assistance will receive a Bursary amounting to 130,800THB. They are required to pay the remaining fees amounting to 102,000 THB for the first year of studies.

For the second year and third year, the scholarship offered will be based on the progress of the dissertation and evaluation of the supervisor(s):
1) Scholarship ‘A’: 248,800 THB. After paying all the fees of 232,800 THB, the balance of 16,000 THB will be remitted as allowances amounting to 2,000 BHT per month over 8 months during the regular semesters.
2) Scholarship ‘B’: 232,800 THB.
3) Scholarship ‘C’: 130,800 THB. They only have to pay the remaining fees amounting to 102,000 THB.

Starting from the fourth year of studies, students need to pay at least 32,000 Baht yearly to maintain their Student Status even if they receive a full Bursary / Scholarship based on the progress of the dissertation and evaluation of the supervisor(s).

The Foundation reserves the right to revise the terms and conditions of the above B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. Bursary / Scholarship without prior notice.

Submission of Application Form
1. Please send your application form together with a recommendation letter written by either a temple abbot or equivalent, a brief self-introduction, and all certified true copies of relevant certificates and awards that you may have been granted.

2. The Bursary Committee will review each application form and relevant supporting documentation and the applicant will be notified in writing upon approval.

3. The Bursary / Scholarship is granted to students until they complete their program. However, the Bursary / Scholarship may be revoked and terminated after one semester if the Bursary / Scholarship holder exhibits very poor conduct and academic performance. Such a decision will be deliberated upon by the Bursary Committee.
