My Experiences in IBC (2) Phra Athikan Sanong Dhammavuto (Thailand)

"Training one’s character and discipline, even for just one minute a day, can make a significant difference. Success or failure may depend on that single minute of training. A nation endures because of good teachers, and our duties as educators are of utmost importance. Constructing a building may be challenging, but the work of a teacher is even more difficult - what we impart leaves a lasting impact.

I am Phra Athikan Sanong Dhammavuto, a fourth-year student at the International Buddhist College in Sadao District, Songkhla Province. I would like to take this opportunity to share my impressions, and to invite you all to prepare yourselves mentally and emotionally.

I have been guided here by Phra Khru Kittivoraphon, a highly respected and renowned monk in both Thailand and abroad. He is deeply revered for his contributions to Buddhist development.
Upon studying at this institution, I am truly impressed. This place offers a serene and suitable environment for studying Buddhism. In terms of food, we have an ample supply for all students, regardless of nationality. Our meals harmoniously blend Indian and Chinese culinary traditions. The college is situated in an ideal location, providing a peaceful and pleasant atmosphere. The campus environment is tranquil and well-suited for learning, with 24-hour security.

Academically, this institution offers bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees. We study Indian philosophy, as India is the birthplace of Buddhism, and explore the spread of Buddhism across different parts of the world. We also analyze the current state of Buddhism in the modern era. Our studies incorporate contemporary technology, as well as Pali and Sanskrit. The environment here fosters meaningful friendships among students from various countries.

Our faculty consists of highly knowledgeable and skilled professors who are truly dedicated to their roles as educators.
